Ilyse has a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Art) from Temple University, Tyler School of Art, an M.Ac. (Masters of Acupuncture), from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies, and is nationally certified as a Diplomat of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. In 2005 she completed a ten-month Medical Qigong teaching apprentice program with The Heart of Healing in Westtown, PA. As an acupuncturist, Ilyse utilizes her training in Five Element and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) styles, among others. In her study of Chinese medicine, Ilyse has come to the knowledge that illness and health appear differently in each person, therefore, it is of utmost importance to treat each patient on an individual level addressing his or her unique needs and goals. It is her goal as a practitioner of acupuncture to address not only the physical health concerns of her patients but the mental, emotional and spirit aspects of their being as well; to bring her patients back to wholeness in body, mind, and spirit so they can live life to their full potential.
